Profile
I was trained in sociology and did doctoral research in the sociology of science. I accompanied my wife of the time to her field research in Papua New Guinea, carried out research of my own, and ended up teaching for 7 years at the University of Papua New Guinea. Since then, I have done research and taught in the United States and Britain, mostly on exchange, and done research in Jamaica on political economy and environmental conservation.
