Chris Hann awarded Rivers Medal of the Royal Anthropological Institute
Chris Hann has been awarded the Rivers Memorial Medal 2015, one of the highest honours awarded by the Council of the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland
Chris Hann was presented with the Rivers Memorial Medal of the Royal Anthropological Institute at the Annual Meeting held on September 18, 2015 in London’s British Museum. The Medal was established in 1923 in memory of W H Rivers. Previous recipients include Malinowski, Haddon, Westermarck, Fortes, Evans-Pritchard, Douglas and Goody. The Medal is awarded annually to mark a recent body of work making a significant contribution to social, physical or cultural anthropology or archaeology.
