Personal Profile

Beatriz Véliz Argueta is an interdisciplinary scholar and multimedia artist interested in spatial history and the construction of place (people and space) in cross-cultural encounters. Her research takes a diachronic approach to questions of human-environmental interactions and the social construction of landscape in urban settings. She is passionate about multimedia and multi-archival research projects that make historical knowledge accessible to larger non-academic audiences.
