Profile
David O’Kane is a graduate of the National University of Ireland and Queen’s University Belfast. He obtained his Ph.D. from the latter institution in 2005. He has taught in Eritrea, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Russia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
His areas of research interest include land reform, nationalism, and policy, and his current research deals with education policy and the construction of the first private university in Sierra Leone, the University of Makeni.
