"Integration and Conflict Studies" Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, Halle/Saale and Berghahn Books
About the series and published volumes
The series is a forum for the publication of outstanding scholarly monographs and edited volumes which contribute to the study of integration and conflict, a topic that is at the core of contemporary social sciences and a matter of general public concern. The major objective of the series is to provide first-rank contributions to a better understanding of identifications and inter-group relations that we conceptualize as underlying all processes of integration and conflict. The regional scope of the series is open, with West Africa, North-Eastern Africa, Central and Southeast Asia receiving particular attention as focus areas of our research.
Authors are invited to submit book proposals on the general topic of the series. Preference is given to empirically rich studies with a clear theoretical focus relating to this general theme.
